Our Workshops
Here at Cain9 Design we are fully qualified to offer the following grooming courses
Hand Stripping
Introduction to Dog Grooming
Intermediate Certificate in Dog Grooming
Advanced Certificate in Dog Grooming

Hand Stripping Workshop - 1 Day (£250)
Hand stripping involves pulling out the dead outer coat of wired-haired or “rough-coated” breeds by hand, rather than cutting the hair with clippers. This allows a new wire coat to grow in. It does not hurt the dog as wire hair is not attached like our own hair or like breeds with other types of coats. Most groomers do not offer this service, since it is time-consuming and very labour intensive. This course will give you hands on skill practice of hand stripping, perfect for an owner wishing to hand strip their own dog correctly or a student looking to gain a strong basis of the skills needed to hand strip dogs as part of a career in dog grooming.

"Absolutely loved my time with Jasmine doing my dog grooming course. I learnt so much in the short time I was there completing the intense intermediate and handstripping course. I would highly recommend Jasmine she made me feel very welcome and at ease with the animals. I was given a wide variety of dogs to groom, this enabled me to learn lots of different techniques for the different breeds. I started the course not knowing anything but left feeling confident in doing dogs by myself. I now have my own dog grooming business and love it. It's really busy and I run it along side a kennels. I try just to groom 3 days a week, but do bath and blow drys most days when dogs leave the kennels"

"I booked my course with Jasmine from Cain9design in February this year. I did a 5 day intensive course. Jasmine taught me how to groom dogs to a professional standard. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and am now a full time dog groomer and dog Walker having given up my full time employment a month ago. The course was fantastic would highly recommend booking with Jasmine as she is a great teacher and knows what she is doing."

I completed my grooming course with Jasmine and enjoyed the experience very much. I was talked though the techniques and also provided with a written grooming guide to keep and look back on whenever needed. The training was informative and friendly, would highly recommend. Jasmines training sessions are also one to one which I feel is a must for anyone wanting to become a professional groomer.

I did my training with Jasmine in May 2018 this year booking myself on the 5 day intermediate and hand stripping course and I enjoyed every minute of it. I was made to feel welcome from the minute I arrive by Jasmine and staff. I began my course with no experience prior but left feeling confident to continue on my own. The course is very informative and having that 1 to 1 training means you learn that little bit more. I would highly recommend Jasmine to anyone looking at furthering or changing their career. Looking forward to starting my new adventure.
